I started my own search into my family history after my beloved Grandmother died. After her death I decided to start my quest into our family history, as I realised I knew very little about her or her parents etc. As luck would have it I found as a family we already had a lot of information in my grandparent's loft. My greatest find was the army log book of my great great grandfather beginning in 1866, without which, I think I would have found it very difficult to go back another generation on this line as he was from Ireland and had a very common first and surname. However on my quest I have had many other great finds including two relatives who died on the Titanic, a bastard and a bigamist. The quest for my family history still continues today.
My name is Clare and I began Family History Quests when looking online for information and products to aid me on my quest. It was a very confusing search with many suppliers offering a huge range of products but time limited as I was I wanted one easy to navigate site where I could buy products from a range of suppliers in one easy transaction. Thus Family History Quests was born and the website went live with only a couple of suppliers in March 2007.
Over time I have developed strong links with large and small history publishers and the list of those who I work with continues to grow. I work individually with all of my suppliers to make sure together give my customers the best service possible. In April 2008 I re-launched Family History Quests with a brand new look and easier to navigate website.
I took a big step in May 2007 when I attended the very first WDYTYA Live! Since then I have taken Family History Quests to a number of fairs across the country and continue to do so. To see if we are at a fair near you please go to our News & Events page.
